Pickled Cabbage
White cabbage, shredded
Salt
Shredded carrots
Hot peppers, sliced (optional)
1 part white vinegar
2 parts sugar
Put cabbage into a bowl with lots of salt and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
Drain off the liquid and add carrots and hot peppers.
Add mixture of vinegar and sugar. Refrigerate 24 hours, mixing occasionally.
