
Hummus
1 15 oz can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas) rinsed and drain
4 tablespoons of tahini (a spread made from sesame seeds); freshly
ground tahini from a health food store is the best
3 tablespoons of olive oil
3 tablespoons of lemon juice (or more to taste)
3 tablespoons of cold water
salt to taste
Blend all the ingredients together in a food process or blender to make a smooth paste.
Serve with pitas, veggies or pita chips. |
